Samsung is all set to launch the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy S10+ on February 20 at a scheduled Unpacked event in San Francisco. Samsung is also said to finally launch the foldable phone at the same Unpacked event. A new report coming from Korean publication ETNews now suggests that the South Korean smartphone manufacturer could also be launching the company’s 5G enabled smartphone at the same Unpacked event on Feb 20.
Besides revealing the launch timeline, the new report also confirms some new details about Samsung’s 5G phone. It suggests that the Samsung 5G phone will actually be called the Galaxy S10 X, wherein similar to Apple iPhone X, the letter “X” stands for “10”. Having said that, it won’t be wrong to say that with the Samsung Galaxy S10 X, the company is looking to celebrate the tenth anniversary of its S series.
So all in all, Samsung is said to be launching four phones in total on February 20 including Galaxy S10, S10 Lite, S10+, Galaxy Fold and lastly Galaxy S10 X. The new report also reveals that although the S10 X will be launching on February 20, the 5G enabled phone will go on sale only in the month of March. The expected price of the S10 X has also been revealed.
Compared to regular S10 models, the S10 X or Samsung’s first 5G will be slightly high of specs. The 5G phone will reportedly come with a 6.7-inch screen with an in-display FP reader and there will be 4 cameras on the rear panel while on the front there will be two sensors.
