LG’s mobile division has struggled lately and it appears to be trying a different approach. The company is planning to launch a new smartphone series called W, and its first market will be India. A landing page appeared on Amazon India, revealing some key specs of the phone. They will be with three cameras, a notch on the front with Notch Customization and “Never before Prices”.
The device comes with a 2.5D curved glass on the front and rear. It will be available in Black, Green, and Blue color options with a gradient finish. Talking about the triple camera setup on the rear, the device features an ultra-wide-angle sensor and depth sensor alongside the primary camera. On the rear, we can also spot the circular fingerprint scanner. Coming to the exclusive information, the device will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery and measures just 8.5mm in thickness.
The new LG W phone will have a 12 nm process chipset with octa-core CPU, clocked at 2.0 GHz. These specs match the Helio P60, a midranger Mediatek chip already available on a long line of phones. Also suggests the Snapdragon 439 possibility too.
While the power button and volume rocker are placed on the right edge, the SIM card slot alone is on the left edge. As seen on the flagship LG smartphone, the W-series smartphone also comes with the proprietary Boombox sound technology. We need to wait for a few more days to know about the launch date.
