Mi 9 with Snapdragon 855 spotted on Geekbench

Xiaomi is on a roll lately. There have been a number of leaks from the Chinese smartphone maker surfacing on the internet. In the latest leak, the Chinese smartphone maker has been spotted testing a device – a flagship on a benchmarking website. Called the Xiaomi “Cepheus”, the smartphone has posted blistering scores on single-core and multi-core tests, showing what the Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset is capable of. We know the tests sounds very similar to another Xiaomi flagship gaming smartphone called the Black Shark Skywalker which also posted scorching numbers in single- and multi-core tests.

However, the Xiaomi Cepheus will be packing 6GB of RAM powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and will run on Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. This is different from the upcoming Black Shark Skywalker gaming smartphone which packs 8GB of RAM welded to a Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Xiaomi is slated to announce the flagship smartphone – possibly called the Mi 9 sometime during this quarter end. The possible Mi 9 scored 3,524 in a single-core test and 11,260 in the multi-core test.
