Mi Band 4 with Amoled Color Display Launched in China

Xiaomi launched its latest affordable fitness tracker Mi Band 4 today in China. The Mi Band 4 is the successor to the popular Mi Band 3 launched in May 2018. In India alone, the company has sold more than 1 million units of Mi Band 3. With the all-new Mi Band 4, Xiaomi is offering better hardware and improved features. It now comes with a 39.9% bigger display and is now using AMOLED color screen. There is also 2.5D scratch-resistant tempered glass on the top.

With the NFC support, the Mi Band 4 can be used for making payments through AliPay QR code payment. It is also water resistant up to 50 meters and sports an upgraded 6-axis high-precision sensor to intelligently recognize different type of swimming strokes including Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly stroke, and Medley. It can also track 6 different sport modes like indoor running, outdoor running, exercise, swimming, cycling, and walking.

Mi Band 4 sports a 135mAh battery and gives 20 days of battery life, the Mi Band 4 NFC variant with 125mAh battery last up to 15 days on a single charge. It sports 0.95-inch AMOLED color display with 240 by 120 pixels resolution. On the connectivity front, it supports Bluetooth 5.0 for pairing with Android and iOS devices.

Coming to the pricing, the standard and NFC variants of the Mi Band 4 are priced at CNY 169 approx USD 24.5 / INR Rs 1,700 and CNY 229 approx USD 33 / INR 2,300 respectively. There is also a Mi Band 4 Avengers Limited Edition priced at CNY 349 approx USD 50.5 / INR 3,500 which comes with Captain America, Iron Man, and Avengers theme wrist bands. The first sale of the Mi Band 4 in China is scheduled for June 16th.
