At the MWC 2019, HMD Global unveiled the new Nokia 9 high-end smartphone with Penta camera setup. Now, the company is gearing up to launch a new smartphone called Nokia X71 on 2nd April in Taiwan. It will be first-ever Android smartphone in the Nokia X series lineup. Along with the all-new Nokia X71, the company will also launch the Nokia 9 PureView.
The Nokia X71 is mentioned to be the first Nokia smartphone to come with a complete bezel-less display. From the last couple of weeks, we are leaks about a new Nokia smartphone with a punch-hole display. Now, we expect the Nokia X71 to be that smartphone. It will come equipped with a ZEISS triple camera setup on the rear featuring a 48MP primary sensor and a 120-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor. The third sensor could be used either for 2x optical zoom or bokeh effect.
New Nokia X71 should also join the Android One family. It will be coming with the new Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. The Nokia TA-1167 spotted on Taiwanese certification website could be the model number for the Nokia X71. As of now, there is no other information available about this device. The Nokia 9 PureView with five rear cameras will also make its debut in Taiwan on the same day. Even with five cameras, the device lacks the wide-angle sensor or a telephoto sensor.
