Oppo is gearing up to announce the world’s first 10x optical zoom system for a smartphone The company is holding an event on January 16th. A few weeks ago, We’d see the 10x technology launched at either the Consumer Electronics Show or the upcoming Mobile World Congress, and it failed to materialize at the former.
Chinese sources say there is scarce information if Oppo is launching an actual market-ready smartphone or is just demoing a new technology. Since we are yet to see their phone with 5x zoom hit the shelves, the 10x introduction is likely to be on a prototype device.
