Last month, OPPO introduced the all-new OPPO Reno series in China and Europe. The company launched three smartphones under this new series – OPPO Reno, OPPO Reno 10x Zoom, and OPPO Reno 5G. Now, the company has confirmed the India launch date as May 28th. Since there is no 5G service available in the country, OPPO might only launch the Reno and Reno 10x Zoom smartphones.
In China, the OPPO Reno and Reno 10x Zoom smartphones are retailing from CNY 3999 approx USD 590 and CNY 2999 approx USD 440 respectively. Both these devices come with a 3D glass body with no protruding cameras. While the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom variant sports a 6.6-inch display with 93.1% screen-to-body ratio, the standard variant comes with a slightly smaller 6.4-inch display. Both the devices use the AMOLED panel and come with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. The OPPO Reno is powered by 10nm Snapdragon 710 Mobile Platform and offers up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
On the other hand, the Reno 10x Zoom packs the flagship 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. Talking about the triple rear camera setup on the 10x zoom variant, there is a 48MP Sony IMX586 primary sensor along with 13MP periscope-style telephoto sensor and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. It also has dual OIS, 10x zoom, and triple focus for capturing stable photos even without a tripod. It can record videos up to 4K resolution in 60fps along with 3D audio which uses 3 microphones for surround sound effect.
