Redmi 7 with Snapdragon 632 Launched in China

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 7 smartphone today in China. The device is the company’s latest smartphones in the entry-level segment. In terms of design, the Redmi 7 looks very much similar to the Redmi Note 7 smartphones. It comes with a poly carbonate body and will be in gradient finish color options. The device also runs on Android 9.0 Pie based MIUI 10 out of the box.

Redmi 7 sports a 6.26″ HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is also certified by TUV Rheinland for controlling the blue light exposure. Under the hood is the 14nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 octa-core processor. It is a huge upgrade over the Helio P22 chipset used on the Redmi 6. The Redmi 7 is also the most affordable smartphone to come with Kryo CPU.

The device comes in 2GB + 16GB, 3GB + 32GB, and 4GB + 64GB storage options. There is also a MicroSD card slot for further expanding the storage on this device. On the rear, the device sports 12MP + 2MP dual camera setup on the rear. For selfies, the device offers an 8MP single front-facing camera.

Coming to the pricing, the base variant with 2GB + 16GB of internal storage is priced at just CNY 699. The 3GB and 4GB RAM variants of the Redmi 7 are priced at CNY 799 and CNY 999 respectively. The device will be on sale from March 26th in China.
