Redmi has launched its Redmi K20 smartphone in India today along with its sibling Redmi K20 Pro. The K20 series was teased from a long time on Flipkart. The handset was launched in China a couple of months earlier in the month of May. The device has been launched in India today for the starting price of Rs.21,999 and will be going for sale online.
Redmi K20 comes with a 6.39-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display that gives an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 91.9%. It has Corning Gorilla Glass on the back as well as the front. Under the hood, there is a Snapdragon 730 SoC coupled with Kryo 470 CPU and Adreno 618 GPU.
The camera on the smartphone includes a 48MP Sony IMX582 main camera sensor on the rear with f/2.7 aperture along with a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, Xiaomi has included a pop-up camera that houses a 20MP camera sensor with f/2.0 aperture. There is a 4000mAh battery on the back with the support for 18W fast charging technology. There is a fingerprint sensor under the display and also has the facial unlocking system.
The device comes out of the box with Android 9.0 Pie operating system with the companies own MIUI on top. The connectivity options like Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C and also a 3.5mm audio jack. The 6GB + 64GB variant priced at Rs. 21,999 while the 6GB + 128GB is priced at Rs. 23,999. The device will be available in Flame Red, Glacier Blue, and Carbon Black color options.
