After the successful launch of Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone in India, Xiaomi has launched its Pro version the Black Shark 2 Pro in China. The new gaming smartphone is powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 855+, which has been featured in ROG Phone II. And, thus makes the Black Shark 2 Pro second gaming smartphone to feature the latest flagship Snapdragon 855+. When compared with the Black Shark 2, apart from the processor there are other significant differences with the new Black Shark 2 Pro as well.
Black Shark 2 Pro comes with the same 6.39-inch AMOLED display but with a reduced touch latency to 34.7ms when compared to 43.5ms on the Black Shark 2 smartphone. As aforementioned, under the hood, the Black Shark 2 Pro is powered by a Snapdragon 855+ process that has clock speeds of up to 2.96GHz, which is a notable improvement from 2.84GHz speeds on the Snapdragon 855 SoC.
Device features 12GB of RAM coupled with either 128GB or 256GB of onboard UFS 3.0 storage. The Black Shark 2 Pro comes with a new game mode called Black Space Dock 4.0 alongside the predecessor’s features including the multi-layer Liquid Cooling system for heat dissipation during extensive game play sessions .
Black Shark 2 Pro comes with dual rear cameras comprising of a 48MP primary sensor with f/1.75 aperture and the secondary camera is a 13MP sensor with an f/2.2 aperture. The front of the Black Shark 2 Pro comes with a 20MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. Moreover, the Black Shark 2 Pro comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication. The device is kept alive by a 4000mAh battery, which further supports 27W Fast Charging as well.
Black Shark 2 Pro gaming smartphone was launched in China for CNY 2,999 for 12GB + 128GB variant, and 12GB + 256GB variant is priced at CNY 3,999 both the variants are said to be available from August 2. The device will also be featuring in multiple color variants alongside the standard variant.
