Apple Watch now dominated the smartwatch market. With the latest Apple Watch Series 4, the company introduced more features to differentiate it from competition. Wear Wear works in this area. Unlike Android, which controls mobile phone space, internal hardware and software interoperability affects Wear devices.
As smart phone makers are now getting rid of the Wear Wear system, traditional watchmakers are beginning to adopt Google’s wearable operating system. Fossil is one of the brands that constantly offers new smart watches. Today, the company launched a new smart clock called Wear-OS called Fossil Sport. Unlike its competitors, Fossil Sport includes the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform.
The Fossil Sport is priced at $255 and comes in 41mm and 43mm sizes. It will be available in Gray, Pink, Red, Blue, Green, and Black color options. There are also a wide range of interchangeable silicon straps which are also water-resistant. The 350mAh battery along with the latest Snapdragon chip makes the smartwatch easily last more than a day. The use of nylon and aluminum case also makes the Fossil Sport weigh lighter on your wrist.
Even at $255, the company has managed to include Heart Rate sensor, NFC, GPS, Altimeter, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope. It also comes preloaded with the music streaming app Spotify and an emergency services app Noonlight. The Fossil Sport smartwatch will be going on sale online starting November 8th in the US and in selected Fossil retail stores starting November 12th. Stay tuned on Phone Radar for more details!
