Honor recently launched Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro flagship smartphones along with the mid-range Honor 20i. Both the Honor 20 and Honor 20 Pro are powered by the Kirin 980 octa-core processor. As per the leaks, the company is also working a new Kirin 980-powered smartphone called Honor 9X Pro. We can expect the company to launch the Honor 9X Pro alongside the mid-range Honor 9X. According to the source, the specifications of the Honor 9X Pro very much similar to the recently launched Honor 20.
While the Honor 20 comes with a 2.5D curved body, the upcoming Honor 9X Pro is said to sport 3D curved glass body. It might continue to come with the LCD display on the front. Under the hood, the device is expected to sport the 7nm Kirin 980 octa-core processor coupled with Mali G76 GPU and dual NPU. However, there is also chances that it might offer the rumored Kirin 810 SoC instead of the Kirin 980 SoC.
Talking about the cameras, we will be looking at a quad camera setup on the rear and an in-display camera on the front. The quad camera setup features a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor along with an 8MP super-wide-angle sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. The in-display selfie camera on the front features a 25MP sensor. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery and supports 20W fast charging.
Honor 9X Pro should be offering EMUI 9 based on Android 9.0 Pie. We need to wait for a few more weeks to know about the launch details of the Honor 9X Pro smartphone.
