Honor View 20 set to launch in India on January 29

Huawei’s sub-brand Honor launched its Honor View 20 smartphone in China last month. And now, the company is gearing to take its phone global. The Honor View 20 will be make its debut in India on January 29, which is a week after the Chinese brand will launch the phone for global markets at a special event in Paris.

In India, the Honor View 20 will be available exclusively via Amazon India and the e-retailer is already showing a ‘Notify Me‘ option to keep the interested buyers informed about the phone’s launch. Besides this, Honor, via its official Twitter handle, has also confirmed that the phone will be exclusive to Amazon in India.

To give you a quick refresher about the phone’s specifications, the Honor View 20 is the company’s first phone to come with a punch-hole display which house a small 25MP front camera on the top left corner of the screen. This, in turn, eliminates the need for having a notch and gives a seamless display.

The Honor View 20 comes with 6.4-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2310×1080 pixels. It has company’s home-grown octa-core Kirin 980 processor in its core, which is also the company’s first 7nm chipset. It runs on EMUI 9, which is based on Android 9.0. This combination is coupled with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB memory. The phone also features Dual NPU for advanced AI capabilities.

At the back, the Honor View 20 features a 48MP camera with a Sony IMX586 primary sensor and a Time of Flight (ToF) 3D camera for additional depth. The phone packs a gigantic 4,000mAh battery with Super Charge feature which, the company says, can last for a day on just 30 minutes of charge.
