OnePlus 3 released three years ago, and its successor OnePlus 3T, was also released the same year, both of the devices now get the taste of Google’s latest Android Pie officially. OnePlus has rolled out the latest Android Pie update to OnePlus 3 and 3T devices right after the official beta, which was released a month ago. The company has been promising timely updates to its devices, and the three-year-old OnePlus devices also get the latest Android-based OxygenOS.
Last month, OnePlus released Android Pie Beta to the 3 and 3T, which has brought several new features and most of the features remain identical including few other in the official build of Android 9.0 Pie based OxygenOS 9.0.2 as well. Firstly, OnePlus 3 and 3T users will notice an updated system, including brand new UI with Android Pie. The latest update also brings April Android Security patch, instead of May.
Android Pie based OxygenOS 9.0.2 also features new Gaming mode 3.0 that includes support for displaying text content for heads-up notifications while gaming. Further, it also gets notification support for third-party app calls. The new Android Pie update also brings Google Duo integration to 3 and 3T devices’ native phone app. Furthermore, the update brings support of Google Lens to phone’s native camera app as well. Apart from these noticeable changes and addition of new features, the Android Pie update for the OnePlus 3 and 3T devices also brings general bug fixes and improvements to overall system settings as well.
