Vivo has officially launched a new Z-series smartphone called Vivo Z5x yesterday in China. This new smartphone comes out just a few weeks after the launch of the Vivo Z3x smartphone. The new Vivo Z5x is also the first smartphone from Vivo to come with a punch-hole display. In China, the device will be competing with the Galaxy A60 smartphone which also comes with a punch-hole display and triple rear cameras.
It sports a 6.53-inch punch-hole display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. With minimal bottom chin, the display on this device offers 90.77% screen-to-body ratio. The camera cut-out on the top left corner measures just 4.59mm in diameter. Under the hood, the device comes powered by the 10nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 featuring the Kryo 360 CPU and Adreno 616 GPU.
The device comes with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 flash storage. There is also a MicroSD card slot for expanding the storage of this device. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based FunTouch OS 9.0 out of the box and support in-house Multi-Turbo mode which includes AI Turbo, Cooling Turbo, and Game Turbo and more. It is backed by a 5,000mAh non-removable battery and supports 18W dual-engine fast charging.
Vivo Z5x sports triple camera setup on the rear with a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it is equipped with a 16MP camera with f/2.0 aperture for selfies.
Vivo Z5x available in Black, Blue, and Gray color options. Talking about the pricing, the base variant of the Vivo Z5x with 4GB + 64GB is priced at CNY 1398 approx INR 14,000. The 6GB + 64GB is price at CNY 1498 and 6GB + 128GB is priced CNY 1698. It also comes in 8GB + 128GB storage options and its costs CNY 1998. The Vivo Z5x will be available for pre-orders starting today and sales will begin from June 1st.
