Say goodbye to the relatively low price tags that OnePlus was offering on its flagship smartphones. While OnePlus did announce that it will be the first to launch a Snapdragon 855 chipset it might cost you a lot more than what the OnePlus 6T is currently priced at.
In an interview with The Verge, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has said that OnePlus “is working on both the new 5G phone and existing 4G phones in parallel and that he expects his 5G phone will likely cost $200 to $300 more than OnePlus 6T.”
Now we are not sure that this 5G mobile phone is the OnePlus flagship mobile phone announced by OnePlus just in Maui in early 2019, or the OnePlus flagship mobile phone in May / June, which can be called OnePlus 7. These phones may be smart. The phone may be the same. According to various reports, OnePlus 7 will be launched in June 2019 and will be the first onePlus with 5G, while the early OnePlus with the Snapdragon 855 may not support 5G. There is nothing to be sure of yet.
In any case, we can be sure that whichever 5G phone OnePlus releases, would cost somewhere around $750 – $850 (approx Rs 53,000 – 60,000).
