Realme 2 Pro Starts Receiving Android Pie with ColorOS 6 Update

Realme 2 Pro, which was launched back in last year, has now started receiving new Android Pie update starting today. The company’s CEO, Madhav Seth, has announced this new Android 9.0 Pie based ColorOS 6 update on his Twitter. He had further stated that the update rollout is said to be a timely update and realme 2 Pro users should receive an update shortly via OTA. Further for those users who are less patient to wait for the OTA, the CEO has also suggested installing the update manually by downloading through Realme Community forums.

As promised, Realme has finally released the much anticipated Android Pie based ColorOS 6 update to the realme 2 pro users. The firmware update carrying the build number – RMX1801EX_11.A.20 claims to be bringing several systems and UI changes with the new ColorOS 6 update.

According to Realme Community forums, wherein the new update can be downloaded shows us about what we can witness with the new ColorOS 6 update. The Android Pie based system-wide rollout with this new update includes new notification icons in the status bar, new lock screen magazine, and the latest Android Pie based gestures as well. The ColorOS 6 launcher finally gets the individual app drawer to store all the installed apps, including the stock apps as well. The new safety mode called RIding Mode and the much important latest May 5th Android Security patch is also available with this new ColorOS 6 update.
