Redmi K20 Smartphone Confirmed to Launch on 28th May

Xiaomi’s Redmi has finally announced the date for the launch of its first ever flagship smartphone. The new Redmi K20 series will be making its debut in China on 28th May. As per the earlier teaser, the device comes with a true bezel-less display and sports a pop-up selfie camera. While the company also confirmed a few key specifications, the complete specifications of the device are leaked recently on Weibo. Redmi will be launching two smartphones under the new K-series Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro.

Last week, the company even shared the Antutu score of the Redmi K20 as 4,58,754. Interestingly, its higher than the Antutu score of the Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 gaming smartphone. As mentioned earlier, the device comes powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform built on 7nm FinFET process. As per the leaks, the Redmi K20 sports 6.39-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The flagship Snapdragon 855 chipset is coupled with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 flash storage.

While the Redmi K20 comes in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB storage options, the Redmi K20 Pro will be available in 6GB + 64GB, 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 128GB, and 8GB + 256GB storage options. On the rear, the Redmi K20 sports triple camera setup featuring 48MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, a 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture. For selfies, the pop-up camera on the top sports a 20MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
