Last month, Xiaomi launched the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones in China under Redmi Brand. Later, the company also teased to launch the Mi 9T in the global markets. However, the earlier posted teaser image revealed the back design of Mi 9T to look completely different to the Redmi K20 series. Now, Xiaomi has scheduled an event for the launch of a new smartphone on 12th June. The company will be unveiling the new Mi 9T smartphone on that day.
As per the leaks, the company will launch the Mi 9T and 9T Pro with the same specifications as seen on the Redmi K20 and K20 Pro smartphones. In India, the company has confirmed to directly launch the Redmi K20 smartphones in the month of July. Talking about the Mi 9T smartphones, these will be coming with a FullView display with no notch or bezels. While the Mi 9T comes powered by 8nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform, the Mi 9T Pro will be backed by the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 Mobile Platform.
Same as the Redmi K20 smartphones, the Mi 9T will also come with a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It runs on Android 9.0 Pie based MIUI 10 out of the box. The Redmi K20 and K20 Pro came with a triple rear camera setup featuring 48MP wide-angle sensor with f/1.75 aperture, 13MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture.
While the Redmi K20 Pro uses a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, the Redmi K20 is equipped with a 48MP Sony sensor. For selfies, the pop-up camera on the top features a 20MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and comes with a sapphire lens. The devices are backed by a 4,000mAh non-removable battery and supports fast charging via USB Type-C port. In China, the device is made available in Carbon Fiber Black, Flame Red, and Glacier Blue color options.
