OnePlus 5/T Users Receive Android 9.0 Open Beta Update

OnePlus provides comprehensive program support for legacy devices by updating its OxygenOS. With OnePlus 6 this year, the company has partnered with Google to get prior taste  of Android Pie through its beta release. With devices like OnePlus 3T, now built with Android Oreo, which is still the most widely used operating system in the latest 2018 smartphones, taking into version 3T released a few years ago.

In other words, China’s smartphone maker has expanded its new version of Android 9.0 Pie to OnePlus 5 and 5T through Open Beta. These devices have existed for a year, but OnePlus has successfully acquired the latest Android 9.0 on the 5 and 5T smartphones.

OnePlus brings Android 9.0 Pie to OP 5 through its Open Beta 20 Build, and for the OP 5T, it comes through Open Beta 22 build. Starting today, OnePlus 5&5T users can flash the new builds by enrolling to Open Beta programs. Needless to say, since this a beta consumers can experience bugs along with the new features.
