OnePlus launched the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro flagship smartphones in india. However, the company skipped launching the non-Pro variant in the US market. Coming to the European market, the OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro are accompanied by the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G smartphone. The company first teased about its 5G smartphone at the MWC Barcelona held in February 2019. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will be first available exclusively via EE in the UK. Later this year, the company will also start selling its 5G smartphone through Elisa in Finland.
OnePlus 7 Pro 5G offers same hardware as the OnePlus 7 Pro but additionally sports Snapdragon X50 modem for 5G connectivity. As of now, the company hasn’t revealed the pricing or the availability details of the OnePlus Pro 5G. Also, there is no information about the storage variants of the first-ever OnePlus 5G smartphone.
It will be coming with a 6.67-inch Fluid AMOLED display with Quad HD+ (3120 x 1440 pixels) resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. The display also supports HDR10 playback. The device will be powered by the 7nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform. In terms of optics, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will offer triple camera setup on the rear featuring 48MP primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture, an 8MP telephoto sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 16MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with f/2.2 aperture. For selfies, the device will be coming with a 16MP pop-up camera on the top.
The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G also offers stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support. We might see the same 4,000mAh battery as seen on the 4G variant. While it lacks the wireless charging support, the device comes with Warp Charge 30 support.
