Xiaomi Mi Play with Helio P35 Launched

Xiaomi launched the latest smartphone called Mi Play in China. Although there are rumors that Mi Play is the Chinese version of POCO F1, it is actually a new device. In fact, Mi Play is the first smart phone from Xiaomi with a water drop notch display. Even with a 19: 9 display, Mi Play will have thick borders in the foreground.

Talking about the specifications, the device sports 5.84-inch display with Full HD+ (2280 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood is the new MediaTek Helio P35 octa-core processor built on the 12nm FinFET process. According to the company, this new chipset with Dual (CPU and GPU) Turbo technology offers enhanced performance when needed. There is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage on this device.

The My Play has a 12-megapixel rear camera + 2-megapixel rear camera with f / 2.2 slot and 8-megapixel front camera for self-portrait. The device measures 147.76 x 71.89 x 7.8 mm and weighs about 150 grams. At the back, we can also find a fingerprint sensor. It supports 3000mAh non-removable and supports fast charging 5V / 2A (10W). Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5 mm audio jack and MicroUSB 2.0 ports.

It still runs on the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with MIUI 10 skin on top. The Xiaomi Mi Play with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage is priced at CNY 1099 (approx USD 160 / INR 11,000). It will is currently available to pre-order and goes on sale starting December 25th in China.
